Next time, on "The butler did it!"

The next review will be forthcoming within the week. A friend has agreed to teach me basic HTML so I can finally make spoiler tags! So keep an eye peeled for a review of Agatha Christie's second book.

I've also begun working on a sort of mini-feature. One idea for blog material that I had was to make an "introduction post" for each author that I review. It will include a picture, brief biography, introduction of that author's detective/s, a bibliography, and a quick review of one of their works. Sort of, "Author So-and-So in 30 Seconds." The first entry will NOT, shockingly enough, be Agatha Christie, though the subject is one of the four original Queens of Crime... And that's all I'm saying!

Good sleuthing

A quick update and preview of posts to come.

I stopped by the local library's book sale Thursday morning (and again today) and came away with some great bargains! Paperbacks were 50 cents, and hardbacks a dollar. I managed to come away with at least twenty books for roughly $30. And among them? Plenty of mysteries, of course.

I managed to pick up a few Dorothy Sayers, a P.D. James, some Ngaio Marsh, and (gasp!) some books that are NOT written by British women. I picked up a book from Emily Brightwell's "Mrs. Jeffries" series, and a few books from Laura Joh Rowland. (Yes, I HAVE noticed that I read a lot of mystery fiction by women. Why do you think this is "Murderess Ink"?

The next few posts (whenever I get around to them, since I've been quite busy of late) will cover more Agatha Christie novels (chronologically, of course!). The next entry should be interesting, because Christie's second novel features the detectives--make that sleuths--that I love to hate, Tommy and Tuppence. Thrown in will probably be a review of whichever of my new books I pick. Also, keep an eye out for a post on Clue (featuring a guest appearance by a fellow Blogger!) and a recap of one of my favorite classes ever.

Good sleuthing!
